The 2027 table tennis calendar needs more than another spreadsheet

The ITTF and WTT announced the completed 2027 international calendar on 20 October. The update includes Feeder and Youth Series events, with the World Youth Championships scheduled for 12–19 December in Asunción. More than 90 Feeder and Youth events are planned across five continents, while further additions may still follow.

The LTTSF perspective

The interesting software problem is keeping a local club calendar in step with that changing picture. Copying dates into separate documents creates work every time a venue or week changes. At LTTSF, we favour portable, structured information that can be checked, updated and exported.

What this could mean for your club

A club planning tool could keep an event identifier, source URL, time zone and last-checked date alongside the fixture. Calendar subscriptions and CSV exports would make that information useful outside the original website. This is a proposal for better interoperability; the announcement does not establish a public API or an open-data licence for the calendar.
