GIMP 3.2.6 and the everyday work of a table tennis club designer

GIMP 3.2.6 was released on 10 September 2026 with maintenance fixes, security updates and interface improvements. The project reports improvements around font loading, text editing and platform behaviour, alongside fixes contributed by both established and new developers.

The LTTSF perspective

For LTTSF, the relevant connection is the weekly work of a club designer. A fixture announcement may need a player photograph, a readable date, a sponsor strip and several export sizes. Reliability during those ordinary tasks can matter more than a dramatic new effect.

What this could mean for your club

We would organise that work around editable master files, a small set of approved colours and clearly named exports. Keep the original photograph separate from the finished poster so the next volunteer can adapt it. GIMP is one useful part of that workflow; it does not replace the club’s own image permissions or brand decisions. The featured screenshot illustrates an older GIMP interface and is not presented as a screenshot of version 3.2.6.
